Physical Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at the Medical College of Wisconsin. As a Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for performing comprehensive patient evaluations and developing treatment plans that integrate input from team members, patients, and family.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform therapy in accordance with the treatment plan and evaluate results.
• Educate the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
• Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting with recommendations for services to implement upon return to the home community.
• Accurately, promptly, and thoroughly document patient care observations, interventions, and evaluations.
• Instruct patient's family or nursing staff in follow-through programs.
• Maintain therapy equipment and work area in a safe and clean condition.
• Document patient progress in a precise and timely manner.
Requirements:
• Proficient in vestibular therapy.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
• Ability to maintain a positive and cooperative attitude.
• Ability to organize and prioritize with minimal direction and maintain a well-organized work environment.
• Ability to problem-solve, use good judgement, and deal with diverse and difficult personalities.
• Ability to search and critically review best evidence to guide clinical decision making and effectively share knowledge with colleagues as well as communicate relevant findings in appropriate language to the general public.
• Ability to set objectives, establish priorities and follow initiatives.
• Ability to work in continually changing conditions.
• Ability to work under moderate to high levels of stress.
• Current knowledge of or willingness to learn about military culture.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills including the ability to work with a variety of applications.
