Job Title: HVAC Technician

Preferred Home Services, LLC is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for examining faulty equipment, conducting tests to diagnose and isolate issues, and implementing effective solutions to ensure systems are working reliably and safely.

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system malfunctions, identifying the root cause of issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Repair or replace defective components, such as compressors, motors, fans, thermostats, and valves.
  • Test HVAC systems to ensure they are operating efficiently and in compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Perform accurate calculations and measurements to determine equipment sizing, airflow, and refrigerant levels.
  • Collaborate with customers to assess their HVAC needs, provide recommendations, and explain repair or replacement options.
  • Document service activities, including work performed, parts used, and customer interactions, accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations at all times.
  • Stay up to date with industry advancements, new technologies, and best practices through ongoing training and professional development.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Physically able to work on HVAC units.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time.
  • Valid SC driver's license and a safe driving record.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
