Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Cafeteria Monitor to provide supervision to elementary students during lunch period. This is a part-time position typically 2-3 hours per day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain acceptable standards of behavior in the cafeteria
  • Supervise students entering and leaving the cafeteria, and assist with seating arrangements
  • Monitor social behavior of students and enforce cafeteria procedures and rules
  • Maintain a clean and orderly environment for students to eat lunch
  • Report inappropriate student behavior to the appropriate personnel
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience working in a school cafeteria preferred
  • Ability to work with students in a congenial and nurturing manner
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
Work Environment

This position is primarily based in the school cafeteria and requires regular contact with internal and external school personnel. The work environment is light duty, with occasional standing, sitting, or stooping, and light lifting or carrying of 20 lbs. or less.
