United Digestive is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Endoscopy team. As an Endoscopy Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our endoscopy center.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized and specialized nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and recognized nursing techniques.
- Plan, execute, and evaluate nursing care given to patients, ensuring a high level of patient satisfaction and safety.
- Collaborate with the Registered Nurse Manager to ensure seamless patient care and efficient department operations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest endoscopy procedures and technologies.
- Current State license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Experience in GI endoscopy preferred.
- Membership in GI specialty or other local, state, or national professional societies encouraged.
- Maintains Basic Cardiac Life Support certification. ACLS certification is recommended, but optional.
- Completion of Airway Management Module is required prior to administering IV conscious sedation. Score of 100% on conscious sedation module post-test.
The ideal candidate will be able to work under stress, with moderate periods of sitting and computer use. Good visual acuity is required, as well as the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl. Standing and walking for extensive periods of time, lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 25 pounds are also required.
