Job Title: Caregiver / Direct Support Professional

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver / Direct Support Professional to join our team at RHA Health Services. As a Caregiver / Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, mental health, and/or substance use needs to live their best lives.

Job Summary:

The Caregiver / Direct Support Professional will provide support and assistance to individuals in their daily lives, helping them to achieve their goals and desired outcomes. This includes assisting with health and safety procedures, supporting individuals in their community life, and providing support to team members and supervisors.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with health and safety procedures, including medication administration and emergency response.
  • Support individuals in their community life, including transportation and daily activities.
  • Provide support to team members and supervisors, including data collection and reporting.
  • Assist with person-centered planning and outcomes, including goal setting and progress monitoring.
  • Support individuals with medical requests, including medication administration and medical procedures.
  • Assist with data collection and reporting, including tracking progress and outcomes.
Requirements:
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • High School Diploma or GED (not required for TN openings).
Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to lift 30 lbs.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 70 lbs.
  • Must be able to pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to squat, kneel, crawl, crouch, climb, and stop.
  • Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Required to regularly stand and walk.
  • Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in CPR from the floor level, requiring work on hands, knees, bending, standing, and lifting.
  • Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision.
