Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Part-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver to join our team. As a DSP, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with developmental disabilities to live their best lives as independently as possible. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with activities of daily living, implementing individual behavioral plans, and promoting community integration.
Key Responsibilities- Assist clients with activities of daily living, such as administering medication, cooking meals, and personal hygiene
- Implement individual behavioral plans, using effective teaching and mentoring techniques to promote skill development and goal achievement
- Encourage clients to participate in community outings and recreational activities, based on their interests and preferences
- Report any concerns about client health and safety, and maintain accurate documentation
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks and a drug screen
- Clear tuberculosis (TB) screening
- Ability to pass and maintain required trainings, such as CPR/first aid, medication administration, and positive behavioral support training
- Basic computer skills
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
We operate 24-hour residential group homes, offering a range of shift options, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnights, and weekends. As a DSP, you will have the flexibility to choose shifts that suit your schedule and preferences.
Training and DevelopmentAll employees are required to complete 10-15 trainings upon hire and on an ongoing basis. These trainings are a combination of in-person and remote sessions, and are paid.
