About the Role

The Director of Home Care Operations will lead the overall vision of a Licensed Home Care Services Agency, overseeing daily clinical and financial operations. This position directs the delivery of quality professional and paraprofessional services, strategizing around big picture goals. Key responsibilities include oversight of scheduling/staffing, recruiting staff, client management, fiscal integrity, and regulatory compliance.

  • Achieving annual assigned gross profit goals through retention of clients and financial objectives.
  • Planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating operations to ensure adequate and appropriate care and services.
  • Developing distinctive strategies to achieve competitive advantage, translating growth and other relevant strategies into specific objectives and action plans.
  • Ensuring successful system integration by maximizing internal referrals from other programs.
  • Directing and monitoring progress of care transitions initiatives to reduce avoidable hospitalizations.
  • Preparing and utilizing financial records, including budgets, forecasts, payroll data, and key metrics to analyze and make decisions.
Responsibilities

This role involves leading the development of strategies to expand programs and services, promoting organizational growth. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of New York State home health care regulations, reimbursement, and quality measures, including familiarity with funding sources.

Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Strong financial literacy and operations expertise.
  • Excellent negotiation and project management abilities.
  • Ability to develop and foster teamwork in a collaborative environment.
  • Willingness to roll up one's sleeves when necessary.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Education: BA/BS from an accredited university.
