About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team at Providence St. Jude Medical Center. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care to expectant mothers and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care to laboring women and their newborns, including administering medications, performing vaginal deliveries, and providing postpartum care.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  • Monitor fetal heart rates and respond to any changes or abnormalities.
  • Assist with cesarean sections and other surgical procedures as needed.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current California Registered Nurse License.
  • Current National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification.
  • Current National Provider NRP - American Academy of Pediatrics certification.
  • At least one year of experience as a Labor and Delivery Nurse.
