Job Summary
Medline Industries, LP is a leading supplier of medical, surgical, and pharmaceutical products to hospitals, nursing homes, and healthcare settings. We are seeking a Material Handler Lead to join our team for a Monday-Friday, 2pm-10:30pm shift.

The Material Handler Lead plays a critical role in our team's success. This position performs all duties of the Material Handler and acts as backup to the Supervisor as needed. The Lead serves as a liaison between business units to ensure the success of customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in organizing staff and workload to meet or exceed productivity performance standards. Provide functional supervision to team members in the absence of the Supervisor.
  • May assist in the training of associates at assigned locations.
  • Under the direction of the Supervisor, facilitates team meetings, assists with employee reviews, and provides feedback. Reviews site employee errors and trains, coaches, and provides day-to-day direction and training to eliminate potential errors.
  • At the direction of the Supervisor, may be tasked with gathering data to support the maintenance of records, including time cards/sheets, training data, etc.
  • Embraces KPIs, tracks trends, and best practices implemented by the Supervisor.
  • Directs the workflow of the team in support of customer needs and best practices standards.
  • Performs all duties of the Supply Chain Clerk and acts as backup as necessary.
Requirements:

  • High school diploma
  • 1 year of experience as a Supply Chain Clerk/Material Handler
  • Must be able to read and communicate in English. Must have basic math skills (addition/subtraction) and strong interpersonal/relationship building skills. Must have a high sense of urgency and be able to meet the physical requirements of the position.
  • Previous experience with SAP and Catalyst or another inventory management system. Pro-track experience.
