About the RoleWe are looking for a top-notch Financial Transactional Lawyer with a strong background in complex financial transactions, a deep understanding of financial regulatory frameworks, and knowledge of syndicated credit facilities and leveraged finance transactions. The ideal candidate will have excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Responsibilities- Drafting and Negotiating: Prepare and review a variety of legal documents, including loan agreements, security documents, derivatives contracts, and other financial instruments.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all transactions comply with applicable laws and regulations, such as those governing securities, banking, and consumer protection.
- Structuring Transactions: Develop innovative and efficient transaction structures to meet the specific needs of clients.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential legal risks associated with financial transactions.
- Client Counseling: Provide strategic legal advice and counsel to clients on a wide range of financial matters.
- Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with colleagues in other practice areas to provide comprehensive legal services to clients.
- Juris Doctor degree from a reputable law school.
- Admission to the North Carolina bar.
- 4 – 8 years of transactional experience and must have a working knowledge of syndicated credit facilities and leveraged finance transactions.
- Strong understanding of financial products and markets.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, including the Securities Act of 1933, the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, and applicable state laws.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
