Job Description: Cybersecurity Network Architect

Maintec Technologies is seeking a skilled Cybersecurity Network Architect to join our team. This is a contract position with an estimated salary of $130,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience. Travel is required for this role, approximately 40% of the time, with nationwide air travel and expenses covered by the company.

The successful candidate will assess adequate access controls based on principles of least privilege and need-to-know. They will analyze current network features, integrate new network features into existing infrastructures, and help to resolve integration and testing issues.

The primary responsibilities of this role include:
  • Assessing adequate access controls based on principles of least privilege and need-to-know.
  • Analyzing current network features and integrating new network features into existing infrastructures.
  • Helping to resolve integration and testing issues.

Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of network switching best practices and evaluating security requests for implementation. They will also possess excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and the ability to think critically and logically in a dynamic, high-pressure environment.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and relevant work experience are required. Preference will be given to candidates with network certifications (e.g., CCNA, Aruba, CWNA, JNIC, etc.). Experience with Microsoft and Unix-based operating systems, Enterprise Firewall rules, and rule creation will also be considered.
