Join the University of Maryland College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (AGNR) as a Regional Watershed Restoration Specialist. This tenure-track faculty position focuses on watershed-based education with a emphasis on green infrastructure and nature-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver educational programs to diverse audiences in Anne Arundel, Charles, and Prince George's counties.
  • Provide technical assistance to local governments and communities on water quality and quantity improvement practices.
  • Conduct needs assessments, secure resources, and interpret research findings to inform educational programs.
Requirements:
  • Master of Science or equivalent in environmental or watershed science, environmental policy, ecology, environmental planning, forest management, urban forestry, natural resources/natural resource management, engineering, landscape architecture or design, or related green infrastructure scientific field.
  • Demonstrable experience in developing and delivering educational programs to diverse audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to work effectively as a team member and demonstrate leadership and management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • PhD or equivalent in related fields.
  • Experience in green infrastructure or natural resource management-related fields.
  • Extension or similar work experience.
