Position Responsibilities

  • Housekeeping Duties - Execute cleaning and sanitation tasks such as dusting and damp mopping floors in designated areas. Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, tubs, floors, and toilets. Daily cleaning and sanitizing of patient room furniture, sitting areas, and dining room furniture. Dispose of trash and perform all other related duties as assigned.
  • Safety Protocols - Utilize protective gear for all relevant tasks. Responsible for the safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions while adhering to all safety guidelines. Report equipment or cleaning product needs and malfunctions to the supervisor promptly. Ensure compliance with established standards, safety, and quality guidelines. Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to maintain a sanitary environment. Adhere to proper reporting, isolation, and handwashing procedures.
  • Attendance - Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality. Complete assigned cleaning tasks according to schedule. Respond to the paging system promptly.
  • Customer Interaction - Represent HCSG positively by following instructions and being courteous and cooperative with supervisors, co-workers, and client staff.
  • Resident Interaction - Engage in positive, pleasant, and tactful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests.

Qualifications

  • Exhibit a positive attitude with the ability to follow oral and written instructions and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily.
  • After completing all necessary training, demonstrate leadership skills to fulfill responsibilities independently and safely.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Must be able to adhere to the scheduled work hours.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 Vaccination Policies, as required by State, Local, and/or Customers.
  • Must be capable of lifting/carrying a maximum of 50 pounds, pushing/pulling a maximum of 50 pounds, and standing, sitting, bending, and walking for extended periods.
  • Must be able to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
  • Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
  • Must reside within the service area.
