Job Title: Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a skilled Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at a top-rated healthcare facility in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Job Summary:

This is a 13-week travel assignment with 36 hours per week, offering a competitive salary of $2,300.52 per week. As a Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer therapeutic treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff.
  • Record treatment information and patient's treatment response in their computerized medical record.
  • Act as a resource person to medical staff.
  • Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring of patients.
  • Provide age-appropriate care to patients.
  • Ensure that respiratory equipment is cleaned and maintained.
  • Maintain necessary respiratory therapy records.
  • Perform as part of the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests.
Requirements:
  • Two (2) years of respiratory care experience in a critical care setting preferred.
  • Needs NICU and PICU experience.
  • Knowledge of procedures and techniques of Respiratory Therapy and the operation and repair of respiratory equipment.
  • Clinical decision-making skills appropriate to patient care as it relates to the pulmonary and cardiac system and to the age of the patient.
  • Ability to interpret the appropriate information to identify patient's needs.
  • Some computer skills.
Education and Certifications:
  • Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program.
  • Licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
  • Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
  • Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (American Heart Association) within 3 months of hire.
