Job Objective

Provide exceptional customer service to donors at the donation door in a store environment. Maintain a clean and well-organized donation area, ensuring accuracy in handling each transaction.

Essential Functions
  • Present a professional appearance, adhering to dress code at all times.
  • Maintain a friendly demeanor, greeting donors and offering assistance as needed.
  • Ensure a clean and well-organized donation area.
  • Responsible for all operations and security matters while on duty.
  • Receive and receipt all donated materials, obtaining email addresses from donors when possible.
  • Safeguard all donated materials and assigned equipment.
  • Track donations according to center policy.
  • Courteously advise donors of unacceptable materials.
  • Advise donors of heavy materials pickup services.
  • Power sort donations as they come in, where applicable.
  • Report complaints, damage, and injuries occurring on or near the donation area.
  • Sort, load, and unload SA trucks according to center policy.
  • Support production processes as needed.
RequirementsMinimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or currently pursuing.

Skills/Abilities
  • Ability to speak, write, and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication with leadership and field personnel.
  • Basic computer skills, including payroll program usage and ability to learn other programs or systems adopted by TSA ARC.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to use basic math skills.
  • Pass a pre-employment drug test and background test.

  • Regularly required to stand, use hands, handle, or feel, and hear or talk.
  • Frequently required to walk and reach with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Travel and Working Conditions

Occasional travel to other stores or for training. The work environment is a store environment with a quiet to moderate noise level, dusty conditions, and temperature fluctuations based on weather. May stand for extended periods and be exposed to outdoor weather.
