The Automation Panel Specialist will be responsible for installing machine controls on our custom automation equipment. Tasks include performing electrical panel wiring, field wiring, troubleshooting and machine integration of industrial automated equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Panel Construction: Build and wire panels from scratch reading electrical schematics.
- Field Wiring: Connect wiring to either the panel I/O or field mount I/O devices.
- Pneumatic Plumbing: Read and understand Pneumatic schematics to ensure proper installation.
- Electrical Control Installation: Mount electrical controls components to the machine, and fabricate mounting brackets as required.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair issues with automation systems and components.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and diagnostics on automation systems and components.
- Project Updates: Provide regular status updates to management on assigned projects.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent, with some college or technical school coursework.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience wiring automated equipment.
- Skills: Ability to use a variety of hand/power tools and test equipment related to panel builder duties.
- Critical Thinking: Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Electrical Schematics: Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
