Position Overview:
Memorial Hermann Health System is in search of a dedicated Breast Imaging Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.
Job Responsibilities:
As a Breast Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting mammography examinations to assist in the detection of breast abnormalities.
- Preparing patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process, and ensuring their comfort.
- Utilizing appropriate imaging techniques to capture high-quality images.
- Monitoring and entering patient data accurately.
- Performing quality assurance checks on imaging equipment.
- Adhering to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure patient and staff safety.
- Participating in continuing education and professional development activities.
Work Schedule:
This is a part-time position with a varied schedule, including:
- Every other Saturday at the designated Breast Center.
- Occasional shifts on Wednesdays.
- Additional day shifts as needed.
Qualifications:
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Current certification in Basic or Advanced Life Support.
- Active license or temporary license from the Texas Medical Board.
- Registered Radiologic Technologist certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Registered Mammography Technologist certification from the ARRT.
