Position Overview:
Memorial Hermann Health System is in search of a dedicated Breast Imaging Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.


Job Responsibilities:
As a Breast Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting mammography examinations to assist in the detection of breast abnormalities.
  • Preparing patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process, and ensuring their comfort.
  • Utilizing appropriate imaging techniques to capture high-quality images.
  • Monitoring and entering patient data accurately.
  • Performing quality assurance checks on imaging equipment.
  • Adhering to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure patient and staff safety.
  • Participating in continuing education and professional development activities.

Work Schedule:
This is a part-time position with a varied schedule, including:

  • Every other Saturday at the designated Breast Center.
  • Occasional shifts on Wednesdays.
  • Additional day shifts as needed.

Qualifications:
Candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
  • Current certification in Basic or Advanced Life Support.
  • Active license or temporary license from the Texas Medical Board.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Registered Mammography Technologist certification from the ARRT.
