Key Responsibilities
  • Perform physical exams, order diagnostic tests, and provide medical treatments to patients throughout their hospital stay, including after-hours on-call coverage.
  • Coordinate with other medical staff to ensure accurate and thorough documentation of all assessments and provide clinical oversight of ARNPs.
  • Makes referrals for tests and consultations, monitors ongoing care of medical conditions, and provides education on medical diagnoses to patients and their families.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Medical doctorate (MD) from an accredited university.
  • Two (2) years post-residency clinical experience in an inpatient setting, psychiatric experience referred.
  • Licensed in the state of employment.
  • Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and applicable certifications.
  • Board certified or eligible in internal or family medicine.
