This role encompasses a blend of clinical and extension responsibilities, primarily focusing on diagnostic pathology. The successful candidate will engage with a diverse caseload, including companion animals, livestock, avian, and wildlife species.

Key duties include:

  • Conducting diagnostic evaluations and providing consultative services to veterinarians and animal owners.
  • Participating in necropsy and biopsy service rotations, ensuring thorough examination and reporting of findings.
  • Maintaining effective communication with clients throughout the diagnostic process.
  • Mentoring and training residents and laboratory staff.
  • Engaging in university service and contributing to departmental committees.
Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a DVM or equivalent degree and have completed a residency in veterinary anatomic pathology. Board eligibility or certification from ACVP or ECVP is required, along with experience in diagnostic procedures.
