Key Responsibilities:

  • Examination Room Preparation: Ensure examination rooms are prepared for patient examinations, including setting up equipment and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Radiopharmaceutical Administration: Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients to obtain clear, usable images.
  • Patient Positioning and Comfort: Position patients and equipment to ensure patient comfort and safety during examinations.
  • Scan Sequences and Monitoring: Insert commands and data into the computer to document and specify scan sequences, and monitor video displays to adjust density or contrast.
  • Patient Monitoring and Safety: Monitor patients during examinations to ensure their safety and follow procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation.
  • Diagnostic Image Production: Produce high-quality diagnostic images and report important information to physicians.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative tasks, such as answering technical questions, scheduling appointments, and offering pre-procedure advice.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment.
