Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team at Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino. As a Plumber, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing pipes and fixtures associated with heating, cooling, water distribution, and sanitation systems throughout the casino. You will also be responsible for fixing and maintaining kitchen equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair pipes and fixtures associated with heating, cooling, water distribution, and sanitation systems.
  • Fix and maintain kitchen equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable Tribal, Federal, and other laws and gaming regulations, as well as Kickapoo Lucky Eagle policies and procedures.
  • Provide excellent guest service by properly listening and responding to guest and team member concerns and questions.
  • Interpret blueprints and building specifications to map layout for pipes, drainage systems, and other plumbing materials.
  • Assemble fittings and valves for installation.
  • Modify length of pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing materials as needed for building.
  • Use saws, pipe cutters, and other equipment as necessary.
  • Install heating and air-conditioning systems, including water heaters.
  • Collaborate with vendors for leaks and other problems.
  • Test plumbing systems for leaks and other problems.
  • Analyze problems and identify appropriate tools and materials for repair.
  • Choose plumbing materials based on budget, location, and intended use of building.
  • Follow health and safety standards and comply with building codes.
  • Write reports documenting the problem and summary of action taken.
  • Perform inspection of plumbing systems to identify and replace worn parts.
  • Demonstrate and promote KLECH core values and MAD skills.
  • Manage and maintain security of confidential information entrusted to position.
  • Attend and satisfactorily complete all required training as assigned.
  • Monitor compliance with Federal currency transaction reporting requirements, Title 31 requirements, and IRS Currency Transaction Reports and property established Anti-Money Laundering policies. Maintain accurate MTL, MIL, CTR, and SAR as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in apprentice field work.
  • Knowledge of apprentice level plumbing skills, including use of all relative tools and equipment and understanding technical drawings.
  • Knowledge of materials required to complete projects.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and oral. Spanish or other language skills a plus.
Working Conditions

This position requires frequent walking and standing in a smoke-filled environment and frequent contact with the general public. The team member must be able to perform under pressure and work long hours under stressful conditions. The team member may be exposed to inclement weather and extreme weather conditions. The team member must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
