Ambulatory Endocrine Nurse

Cleveland Clinic Lutheran Hospital is seeking a skilled Ambulatory Endocrine Nurse to join our team. As an Ambulatory Endocrine Nurse, you will provide top-quality care to patients in a variety of ambulatory care settings.
Responsibilities:- Assess health status by completing a nursing assessment.
- Perform telephone triage.
- Notify physician/LIP of abnormal findings.
- Establish a care plan in collaboration with the patient, family, and healthcare team.
- Collaborate with care coordinators to ensure smooth and effective transitions of care.
- Assist with specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physician/LIP and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Cover other nursing roles within the department.
- Provide health education to patients and families.
- Develop, evaluate, adapt, and document education to learning needs.
- Assist in preparation of department-specific education for patients and colleagues.
- Facilitate smooth operation of the ambulatory areas.
- Participate in quality initiatives, process improvements, and research activities to improve patient outcomes, patient experience, and patient safety.
- Maintain professional growth and development in the nursing field and identified annual core competencies.
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA).
- Certification within 6 months of hire.
- Any registered nurse or advanced practice nurse must obtain a cancer-specific certification or demonstrate ongoing qualifying education within the timeframe of the facility's accreditation cycle, if they work in medical oncology, radiation oncology, cancer center, or cancer clinic and/or administer chemotherapy within an accredited Cleveland Clinic facility.
