Job Title: MDS Architecture Assessment Engineer

Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, is seeking a highly skilled MDS Architecture Assessment Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). This position is based in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage the QlikSense-based Capability Gap Tracker tool, including reviewing, updating, and organizing gaps and threats.
  • Collaborate with MDA organizations to understand and leverage the Capability Gap Tracker, gaining insight into the missile defense system.
  • Contribute to shaping the future of the missile defense system through handling missile defense threat data in support of architecture analysis activities.
  • Access various MDA data sources, transferring data to the DoD HPC for analysis activities, and summarizing the data.
  • Provide surge support for analysis tasks involving the use of a MATLAB-based missile defense architecture analysis tool on the DoD HPC.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
  • 3+ years of experience working on missile defense-related or other DoD programs/projects.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Self-starter with excellent collaboration and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with MATLAB and Linux.
  • Understanding of System Engineering, including requirements writing/management.
  • Ability to handle and analyze large data sets.
  • Must be a US Citizen and have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time, with US travel only.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Top Secret clearance.
  • Experience with QlikSense development.
  • Experience using high-performance computing clusters.
  • Experience with Model-Based System Engineering, particularly the CAMEO suite of MBSE tools.
