Job Overview

The University of Kentucky is seeking a distinguished Pediatric Endocrinology Specialist to join our esteemed faculty. This academic opportunity offers a chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and adolescents.

About the Position

We are looking for an exceptional individual with expertise in Pediatric Endocrinology to provide quality subspecialty care to patients. The selected candidate will be located in the Barnstable Brown Kentucky Diabetes Center, where they will work alongside expert diabetologists to coordinate care for diabetes complications screening and management.

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care to children and adolescents with complex endocrine disorders
  • Attend traveling diabetes clinics to ensure comprehensive care
  • Serve as an attending physician for the pediatric endocrinology service, supervising students and residents
  • Contribute to the education of future physicians by supervising students and residents assigned to pediatric inpatient and outpatient services
Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must have:

  • Evidence of capability and effectiveness as a practitioner, teacher, and clinical researcher in Pediatric Endocrinology
  • Potential for growth as a supervisor, teacher, and practitioner
  • MD, DO or equivalent degree
  • Completion of Pediatric Residency and Fellowship from an accredited program
  • Board eligibility/certification in Pediatrics and Endocrinology
  • Current licensure, or eligibility for licensure, to practice medicine in the state of Kentucky
Estimated Salary Range

$200,000 - $250,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications
