Salary
This position offers a competitive salary of $120,000 per year, based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week. This compensation package also includes a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist (PT) to join our team in Salinas, California. As a PT, you will be responsible for evaluating, developing, and executing plans of care for various patient populations in the acute care setting. Your primary duties will include overseeing supervising PTAs, support staff (therapy technicians), billing within respective settings, understanding relevant PT board rules and regulations, interfacing with medical center personnel and physicians, understanding adaptive equipment, evaluating and creating plans of care, modifying plans as needed, using medical center computer systems, providing timely and accurate documentation, and meeting state and insurance guidelines.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean or stoop without difficulty, and have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. A minimum of 6 months of experience is required, but new graduates are encouraged to apply. You must also have BLS certification and state-specific licensing.
