Gearbox-Motors Assembly Technician

Rose International is seeking a skilled Gearbox-Motors Assembly Technician to join our team. As a key member of our assembly team, you will be responsible for the overhaul and rebuilding of locomotive gears, ensuring product specifications and quality standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Disassemble, clean, repair, and reassemble components according to drawings and guidelines.
  • Inspect and adjust completed motors to ensure they meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
  • Measure for accurate clearances using calibrated instruments.
  • Install gears, bearings, and housings, and attach name plates and mark identifying information on parts.
  • Verify part dimensions or clearances to ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Read and interpret schematic drawings, diagrams, blueprints, specifications, work orders, bills of materials, or reports to determine materials requirements or assembly instructions.
Requirements:
  • HS diploma or equivalent.
  • Extensive experience with electromechanical assembly.
  • Extensive wiring experience.
  • Direct assembly experience reading and interpreting schematic drawings.
  • Ability to physically lift 35 pounds.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (read, speak, write).
  • Ability to collaborate successfully in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to learn and process information quickly and execute tasks successfully.
