About the Role:

Host Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Travel Nurse to join their team in Colville, Washington. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the health and well-being of expectant mothers.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate nurse to work in a fast-paced Labor and Delivery unit. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment, and demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to women in labor, including assessing patients' physical and emotional needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing evidence-based practices to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, obstetricians, and other medical professionals to coordinate care and make informed decisions about patient treatment.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions, lab results, and medication administration.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional status, identifying potential complications and taking prompt action to prevent or address them.
  • Develop and implement education programs for patients and their families on topics such as childbirth preparation, parenting techniques, and postpartum care.

Requirements:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Washington state.
  • 1+ years of experience working in a Labor and Delivery unit.
  • Strong understanding of perinatal nursing principles, including fetal monitoring, labor management, and postpartum care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse patient populations and multidisciplinary teams.
  • BLS certification and current ACLS training.
