The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience in vehicle maintenance and restoration. This role involves diagnosing and repairing automotive issues, ensuring that all repairs meet quality standards. The Repair Technician will work closely with other team members to deliver exceptional service to our customers.
Salary:
An hourly pay scale with a starting range between $22-$30 based on experience. There will also be the opportunity to transition into a flat rate pay scale if the employee can show it would be mutually beneficial.
Job Description
- Diagnose and repair medium to heavy vehicle (semi-truck, trailers, RV, box truck, bus) collision damage.
- Disassemble, repair or replace collision-damaged parts and reassemble vehicle per OEM specifications.
- Ensure all needed repairs identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time.
- Work with other team members and follow shop work order documents.
- Prompt and regular attendance a must.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Must have 2+ years of experience in auto body repair. Electrical and/or hydraulics knowledge a plus.
- Ability to use frame machine and pulling equipment a plus.
- Skills in soldering, welding, fabricating, and assembling components are highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
