Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Surgical Oncology

At Cynet Health, we are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Surgical Oncology specialist. This 13-week travel position offers a unique opportunity to work with a variety of patients and provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate RN to provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. As a Surgical Oncology specialist, you will assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and work closely with physicians to deliver patient care competently.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care to patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.
  • Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients and work closely with physicians to deliver patient care competently.
  • Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products.
  • Deliver patient care competently and interact with family and patient in sharing the care plan while in the hospital and upon discharge.
  • Inform patients and families of hospital procedures and make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
  • Delegate tasks to support staff and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Current RN License
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in Surgical Oncology
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
  • Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
  • Some computer skills
