PT Cashier

Job Summary

The PT Cashier role at The GIANT Company is a dynamic opportunity to provide exceptional customer service and support the success of our stores. As a PT Cashier, you will be responsible for scanning and/or entering numbers on the register, lifting and moving goods, making change, bagging orders, and assisting with special projects as directed. This includes restocking returns, replenishing front-end items, cleaning, and assisting with carts.

Key Responsibilities

Promptly review the work schedule, check equipment and supplies, and prepare for duties at the start of each shift.
Block aisles, set up checkout areas, and displays as needed to ensure a smooth customer experience.
Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Tally items, take money, and make change accurately and efficiently.
Bag items and put bags into carts as needed to maintain a clean and organized store environment.

Requirements

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Must be able to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations to complete job duties in a satisfactory manner.
Must meet ergonomic and physical requirements, as well as physical base scores for this position, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Must be able to use or learn to use equipment and tools used to perform this job.
Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 30 or 60 days.
Must be able to perform all job functions safely and meet company performance standards for the job, including regular attendance.

Physical Requirements

Shift hours: minimum 4-hour shifts or more depending on business needs.
Job cycles: continual maximum.
Lift/carry: 50 lbs.
Stand 55%, sit 0%, walk 45%.
Category IV: lifting, carrying, P/P up to 50 lbs.
Max pull static: 20 lbs.
