Key Responsibilities- Provide medical care and support to students and staff, including administering medications, treating injuries, and responding to medical emergencies.
- Develop and implement health education programs to promote healthy lifestyles and prevent illnesses.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to student health and well-being.
- Conduct health screenings and assessments to identify potential health issues and provide referrals for further evaluation and treatment.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of student health information, including medical histories, immunization records, and treatment plans.
- Current Louisiana Nursing license (L.P.N.)
- Experience working with medically fragile children preferred
- Advanced computing skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and non-traditional software programs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
