Responsibilities:
  • Support the implementation of curriculum through classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards.
  • Collaborate with Lead Educators to plan individual and group age-appropriate activities that promote social, cognitive, emotional, and physical growth.
  • Communicate effectively with parents through informal discussions, progress reports, and parent-teacher conferences.
  • Ensure compliance with all center policies and state regulations.
  • Contribute to maintaining a healthy classroom environment, including hygiene, cleanliness, and safety standards.
  • Support the maintenance of accurate records, forms, and files.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and promote continuous quality improvement.
  • Support a positive teaching team and a welcoming environment for children and guests.
Requirements:
  • Meet the requirements of a Teacher Assistant as outlined by Vermont's Child Care Licensing Regulations.
  • High School Diploma or GED and approved higher education credits.
  • At least 1 year of professional child care experience.
  • Infant/Child First Aid and CPR Certifications (can be obtained within 4 weeks of start date).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and foster a team-oriented atmosphere.
  • Strong understanding of child development and a willingness to pursue professional development opportunities.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with emerging leadership abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to all procedures and guidelines outlined in the employee handbook and state licensing regulations manual.

Vail Resorts offers a competitive compensation package, including a pay range of $22.71 per hour. Full-time roles are eligible for additional benefits, including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, and more.
