We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist to join our team at a hospital in California. This is a 13+ week contract position with the possibility of being converted to a full-time role for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities- Verify medication orders using Cerner and ensure accuracy and compliance with hospital policies.
- Provide consultation and assistance with medication orders to healthcare teams.
- Order, stock, and distribute medications as needed, including narcotics, to ensure optimal patient care.
- Perform regular checks on crash carts and emergency boxes to ensure all medications and supplies are current and available.
- Manage medication recalls and ensure that inventory levels remain at par throughout the organization.
- Monitor Pyxis console to maintain optimal medication levels and prevent stockouts.
- Active California pharmacy license.
- 1-2 years of recent experience in inpatient/hospital pharmacy.
- Proficiency in Epic and Pyxis systems.
