Project Management Role at Moody and Associates

Moody and Associates, Inc. is a leading environmental services provider with over 130 years of experience. As a Professional Geologist at Moody, you will be part of a dynamic team of environmental professionals in our Meadville or Erie, PA office. This role involves managing and overseeing projects throughout western PA, requiring a strong understanding of state and federal environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of project management, including proposal preparation, work scope development, scheduling, budget tracking, and invoicing.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, coworkers, subcontractors, regulatory agencies, and management.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to execute project work.
  • Prepare project deliverables, including reports, permit applications, and work plans.
  • Implement project work, including scheduling field staff, coordinating with laboratories, subcontractors, and vendors to purchase and/or rent equipment.
  • Interpret tables, graphs, data, and figures.
  • Train, mentor, and oversee staff.
  • Safely perform work in the office and field, with occasional out-of-town field work in all seasonal weather conditions.
  • Apply ethical and responsible decision-making skills while following company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in geology, hydrogeology, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Pennsylvania Professional Geologist License required.
  • 6-10 years of demonstrated experience in hydrogeologic and/or environmental consulting.
  • Working knowledge of Pennsylvania's Land Recycling Act 2 Program and Phase I ESAs.
  • Strong technical writing skills and ability to efficiently and accurately perform QA/QC.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work extended hours when needed.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Follows company and client-mandated safety rules/practices and is safety-conscious at all times.
Work Schedule and Physical Demands:

Average 40-45 hours per week, with weekly schedules varying based on business demands. Schedules are typically confirmed during the workweek (Monday - Friday) during normal business hours. The physical demands of this position include working outdoors in adverse environmental conditions in all weather conditions, with occasional hiking and lifting.
