Our curriculum and teaching methods are designed using Core Knowledge, Teach Like a Champion, and blended learning models. We believe in providing our students with opportunities to earn college credit at no cost to the student through our partnership with the local community college.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Special Education Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining student service logs, creating and modifying student lessons, and providing individual student services as outlined in the IEP.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree or higher with at least 24 credit hours in a content area, a valid Indiana Teaching License for Grades 9-12 with SPED Endorsement, and at least one year of successful teaching experience in an urban environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain student service logs
  • Create and modify student lessons
  • Provide individual student services as outlined in the IEP
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers
  • Provide accommodations and parental contacts
  • Facilitate academic and state testing
  • Communicate with parents and staff
  • Attend all required staff meetings
Requirements
