Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Technician to join our team at Methodist Hospitals. As a Phlebotomy Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood samples and other specimens from patients, adhering to established laboratory procedures.
  • Process laboratory test requests in the order of priority, responding promptly to STAT and Time Request tests.
  • Interact effectively with physicians, patients, and other support services, providing compassionate patient care and orientation.
  • Participate in inventory management and optimal resource utilization.
  • Assist with training of new employees.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED Equivalent Required
  • Successful completion of a Phlebotomy Program from an approved institution
  • Work experience in a hospital/clinical setting is preferred
  • PBT (ASCP) or Equivalent within two years of hire
