Mwani Linguist

Acclaim Technical Services, a leading provider of language, operations, and technology services, is seeking a highly skilled Mwani Linguist to support our mission. As a trusted partner to the U.S. Federal government, we deliver exceptional services that meet the highest standards of quality and integrity.

We are looking for a talented individual to join our team in Reston, VA, working on 100% travel CONUS/OCONUS. The successful candidate will be responsible for translating documents into English and providing consecutive interpretation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate a variety of documents, including technical and cultural materials, into English.
• Provide consecutive interpretation services for government officials and other stakeholders.
• Utilize knowledge of the cultural and linguistic nuances of the Mwani language to ensure accurate and culturally sensitive translations.
• Collaborate with our team to develop and implement effective translation strategies.

Requirements:

• US Citizenship
• BA/BS Degree in a relevant field, such as linguistics, languages, or international relations
• Proficiency in the Mwani language, with a strong understanding of cultural and linguistic nuances
• Excellent communication and interpretation skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Willingness to travel extensively, both domestically and internationally

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working with government agencies or international organizations
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other translation software
• Ability to work as part of a team and provide constructive feedback
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
