Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Supervisor to join our team at LADGOV CORPORATION. The successful candidate will provide expert supervision to postgraduate year-3 and postgraduate year-4 psychiatry residents in psychoanalytic psychotherapy case supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide formal didactic instruction in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, including the integration of psychoanalytical concepts in case formulation, simultaneous attunement to process and content during therapy sessions, and the development of awareness and technical approaches to transference and countertransference with patients.
  • Conduct psychoanalytic psychotherapy case supervision through in-person group consultation sessions and psychoanalytic psychotherapy instruction through didactic group classes in intermediate and advanced psychotherapy.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based practices in psychoanalytic psychotherapy.
Requirements:
  • A Master's degree in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, school psychology, or a closely related field is required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of clinical counseling principles, programs, and methodology.
  • Knowledge and regular use of evidence-based practices.
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques.
