Emergency Registered Veterinary Technician

At Ethos Veterinary Health, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Veterinary Technician to join our ER team. As a key member of our medical staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and their owners.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and excellent customer service. As a Registered Veterinary Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Triage and prioritize incoming patients
  • Stabilize patients in critical condition
  • Assist with diagnostic procedures
  • Administer medications and fluids
  • Provide wound care and post-surgical support
  • Monitor vital signs and report abnormalities
  • Assist during surgeries and emergency procedures
  • Communicate with pet owners
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitization
  • Educate pet owners on aftercare
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team
  • Stay updated through continuing education
  • Offer compassion and emotional support to patients and owners
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma
  • 2+ years of clinical experience in the veterinary industry, ER experience preferred
  • A current and valid RVT license in the state of CA
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients
  • A consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations
