Job Summary:

The Medicus Firm is seeking a highly skilled Optometrist to join our team as a Clinical Practice Specialist. As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for providing professional eye care and examinations in a clinical setting, as well as developing and building a practice base to meet the needs of the community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Comprehensive Eye Exams: Utilize optometric equipment and general diagnostic interpretation to diagnose and treat ocular disease.
  • Prescribe and Fit Vision Aids: Prescribe, fit, and adjust eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other vision aids to meet the needs of patients.
  • Provide Excellent Patient Care: Deliver outstanding customer service through all patient interactions, answer questions, and provide advice on vision and optical issues.
  • Lead and Develop the Practice: Direct staff and assist in the development of the overall practice, ensuring a high level of patient satisfaction and care.
Requirements:
  • Education: Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry program.
  • Licensure: Active Texas state optometry license.
  • Certifications: Valid CPR certificate.
  • Experience: Two-plus years of optometrist experience preferred.
