Job Summary

Island Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Services team. As a key member of our team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Administer therapeutic independent nursing care and other related interdependent duties
  • Utilize the nursing process as a basis of care
  • Coordinate and implement diagnostic and therapeutic orders
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses
  • Provide pre-operative education and post-operative care
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate records
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Washington
  • Active BLS and ACLS certifications, PALS recommended
  • BSN preferred, CNOR certification encouraged
  • Previous inter-operative experience required
Work Environment

As a Registered Nurse with Island Health, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals. You will be required to stand for extended periods, push, pull, and reach, and occasionally bend, sit, stoop, and stretch. You will need to have a full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, and have the hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity needed to operate medical equipment.

Salary Range

$35.83 - $67.91 per hour
