We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fundraising Specialist to join our team at A Safe Haven for Newborns. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, and soliciting high-priority prospects to support our life-saving mission.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of fundraising success in the South Florida area and will be able to develop and implement effective strategies to engage and retain existing donors and sponsors. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records of donor and prospect information and activities, forecasting and evaluating the potential of each fundraising campaign, and working closely with our event planners to ensure positive results.
We are looking for a self-motivated and goal-oriented individual with strong communication skills, including the ability to write and speak passionately and persuasively about our mission. If you have a passion for fundraising and a desire to make a difference in the lives of young women and newborns, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward high-priority prospects, including individuals, private foundations, and corporations.
- Engage, retain, and increase existing donor and sponsor support.
- Develop strategies, promotional methods, and giving campaigns to achieve fundraising goals.
- Maintain accurate records of donor and prospect information and activities.
- Forecast and evaluate the potential of each fundraising campaign.
- Work closely with event planners to ensure positive results.
- Ensure best practices are followed and targeted financial goals are achieved.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of fundraising success in the South Florida area.
- College degree in public relations, marketing, fundraising, or equivalent experience.
- Bilingual is a plus.
- Valid Florida driver's license, safe driving record, and proof of auto liability insurance.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to write and speak passionately and persuasively about our mission.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, with proven organizational skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and in creating captivating presentations.
- Experience with social media to advance our mission and presence.
