The Radiologic Technologist plays a crucial role in assisting medical professionals during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This includes preparing patients and operating x-ray machinery to capture essential diagnostic images.

Qualifications
  • Education: High School diploma or GED is required. Completion of an accredited Radiology program or a certified hospital-based program, along with credentialing from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), is mandatory.
  • Experience: A minimum of two years in diagnostic radiology is required.
  • Licensure/Certification: ARRT certification is required.
  • Additional Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of radiographic equipment and accessories is essential. Candidates should possess analytical skills and basic computer proficiency. Understanding of age-specific care requirements is necessary, along with the ability to interpret information to meet each patient's needs. Strong communication skills and the capability to work independently in diagnostic settings are also important.
