Position Overview:

Arcadis is seeking a Site Engineering Supervisor to enhance our team. This position encompasses a variety of professional engineering responsibilities in both field and office environments. The Site Engineering Supervisor will oversee construction contracts, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations and specifications.

The Supervisor will track work progress to ensure compliance with contract stipulations, including the inspection of materials, methodologies, and completed work. They will manage payment procedures, ensure that all project documentation is in line with established policies, and proactively address any necessary modifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety of construction management, state personnel, contractors, and the public by monitoring operations and traffic conditions
  • Review contractor activities for compliance with safety regulations
  • Guide staff in the accurate maintenance of construction records according to regulations
  • Engage with contractors to ensure adherence to plans and quality standards
  • Conduct field inspections to confirm compliance with designs and specifications
  • Prepare and assess reports on contractor performance
  • Maintain project documentation and oversee schedule and budget
  • Draft contract modifications as necessary for successful project completion
  • Assist in resolving contractor disputes and ensure compliance with contract documents

Essential Qualifications:

  • Approximately ten years of experience in Construction Management within Heavy Civil Engineering projects
  • About three years of supervisory experience managing similar-scale construction contracts
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer

Desired Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience as a Site Engineer, Construction Manager, or Project Manager on large-scale highway projects
  • Prior involvement in highway construction and operations
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience with state transportation agencies
