**Job Summary**

Butler Machinery Company is seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling service technicians' time, invoicing work orders, and communicating quotes, job status, and scheduling.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Assist the Service Manager in quoting, estimating, and delivering CVAs (service contracts) for upcoming jobs in the service department.
  • Assign jobs and work areas to Service Technicians based on their skills and knowledge.
  • Seek customer feedback proactively, anticipate problems, and respond promptly.
  • Respond to and follow up on employee issues and concerns.
  • Review all repair work orders for accuracy concerning parts, materials, and labor, and approve the release of equipment for delivery to the customer.
  • Work with the Service Manager or supervisor in all aspects of the service department to fulfill the responsibilities of the Service Manager.
  • Advise the Service Manager of all customer complaints.
  • Assist the team in implementing Contamination Control Guidelines.
  • Meet with the Service Manager regularly to review department performance, profitability, and efficiencies.
  • Exhibit technical and product knowledge on all equipment sold within the dealership's area of responsibility.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and the employee handbook.
  • Conduct yourself in the presence of customers and the community in a professional manner that presents Butler Machinery Company in a positive light.
  • Seek and participate proactively in available company-sponsored training to develop and advance your knowledge base and skill set.
  • Participate in all company- and location-driven communication efforts, including customer events, department meetings, and other related efforts.
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
  • Organize, communicate, and delegate responsibilities and priorities to subordinates to ensure the successful operation of the department.
  • Provide regular and timely feedback that recognizes employee performance, motivates employees, and promotes self-development.
  • Communicate with and coach employees on assignments, providing technical expertise as needed.
  • Select, train, and develop employees consistent with departmental goals, providing coaching on career development.
  • Work within and promote the vision, mission, and values of Butler Machinery Company.
  • This position will also assist the heavy equipment service manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications:**

  • A high school diploma and/or technical school education or equivalent combination of experience, training, and/or education is required.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Strong technical knowledge.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task.
