Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient's needs, ensuring optimal outcomes and quality of life.">
  • Administer prescribed respiratory treatments, medications, and modalities according to physician orders and departmental guidelines.">
  • Maintain accurate records of patient progress, monitor vital signs, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.">
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care, addressing any concerns or issues promptly.">
  • Promote patient education, empowering individuals and their families to manage respiratory conditions effectively.">
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in respiratory care, incorporating evidence-based practices into daily work.">
  • Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the enhancement of patient care and hospital operations.">
  • Work collaboratively with other departments, sharing knowledge and expertise to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.">

Requirements:

">
  • Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care or related field (or equivalent experience).">
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification, as well as Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.">
  • Valid licensure in one of the following states: Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, or Wisconsin.">
  • A minimum of 0 years of experience in respiratory care, with a strong foundation in patient assessment, treatment planning, and equipment maintenance.">
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.">
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care, adhering to SSM Health's core values and mission.">
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records and software applications used in respiratory care.">
