Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Analytical Chemist to join our team at our laboratory in Berkeley, IL. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting various chemical analyses on soil and groundwater samples, maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment, ensuring quality control procedures are followed, and participating in research and development activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct chemical analyses on soil and groundwater samples using GC, HPLC, and ICP-MS equipment
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and precision
  • Ensure quality control procedures are followed to meet regulatory requirements
  • Participate in research and development activities to improve analytical methods and techniques
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve laboratory goals and objectives

Requirements

  • Experience in working in an environmental laboratory
  • Laboratory Skills, Analytical Skills, and Quality Control
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, or related field
