Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technician II to join our team at Electronic Warfare Associates. As an Engineering Technician II, you will play a critical role in supporting our test and training events, utilizing your expertise in Electronic Warfare and RF systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in test event planning, documentation, data collection, and troubleshooting for Developmental and Operations Testing/Training events.
  • Operate various Electronic Warfare and mobile systems, and serve as the primary operator for those systems during events.
  • Work in a team environment, prioritizing safety while working towards successful completion of tasks.
  • Perform physical activities that require exertion, including standing, climbing, stooping, bending, sitting, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Requirements

  • Possess or be able to obtain a security clearance of Secret or higher, as well as a valid U.S. driver's license.
  • Be proficient in the Electronic Warfare/Radio Frequency (EW/RF) skill set, including strong understanding of RF terminology, theory, and operation.
  • Have experience with RF instrumentation, such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, attenuators, amplifiers, and other related equipment.
  • Be able to calculate power by taking known and/or measured gains and losses in a RF path.
  • Have experience with deploying RF-related hardware in a field environment, including masts, towers, guy wires, ground anchors, cabling, connectors, etc.

Preferred Skills

  • Computers and networking experience, including proficiency in operating standard PC-based programs, such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Internet Explorer.
  • Hand tool and maintenance knowledge, including strong working knowledge of hand tools and technician diagnostic equipment.
  • U.S. Military test exercise and field operation experience, including knowledge of military protocol and standard operating procedures during FTX events.
