We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Park Maintenance Worker - Groundskeeper to join our team at Huron-Clinton Metroparks. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of our parks and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Custodial Maintenance: Clean and maintain restrooms, picnic shelters, and other park structures to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for visitors.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Clean and maintain office and maintenance buildings, including sweeping, mopping, and restocking supplies.
  • Special Events Support: Assist with setup and teardown of special events, including festivals, concerts, and other activities.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate various equipment, such as lawn mowers, leaf blowers, and other machinery, to maintain park grounds.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to park visitors, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license is required to operate park vehicles and equipment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in all weather conditions, traverse uneven terrain, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions, as well as communicate effectively with colleagues and visitors.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
