Construction Project Manager

At HITT Contracting, we're seeking a skilled Construction Project Manager to lead our government construction projects. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing project plans to ensure timely completion, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction, with experience in project management and leadership. You'll be responsible for maintaining adherence to HITT's safety standards, creating and managing project budgets, and collaborating with project superintendents and site operations teams.

We're looking for a motivated and organized individual who can effectively communicate with clients, subcontractors, and team members. If you're passionate about construction and have a strong work ethic, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain adherence to HITT's safety standards
  • Create and manage project budgets
  • Develop and collaborate on pre-construction RFP packages
  • Conduct project meetings and set milestones
  • Establish job processes and approve pay applications
  • Perform project scheduling and ensure quality control
  • Manage the closeout process
  • Supervise assistant operations support roles
  • Collaborate with project superintendents and site operations teams

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business preferred
  • 5+ years' experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor
  • Previous experience in a project management role with the ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously
  • Mastery of sector/project-specific software systems
  • Ability to read construction drawings and organize necessary resources
  • Knowledge of current market conditions and pricing conventions
  • Demonstrate a strong ability to lead, communicate, and take initiative
